The FireFly has a Flame Maple body with a fabulous Cherry Sunburst finish. The Cherry Sunburst extends up the straight grain Maple neck. Combined with a jet-black Ebony fingerboard and black hardware, the FireFly embodies the classic style of electric guitars with the added advantage of lightweight and portability.
We have used small abalone side dots, large mother of pearl face dots, and 22 frets on this gorgeous Ebony fingerboard. The Cherry Sunburst, hand made body is Flame Maple paired with straight grain Maple for stability. We have added hand turned black knobs that complement the dramatic body and enhance the black hardware and fingerboard. These small details make this a striking instrument with delicate intricacies.
We have used our popular SongBird body design and frame for the FireFly. The body design includes our straight-pull pegbox which improves tuning and string alignment. The frame design has a deep cutaway for easy access to the upper frets. The nut width is 1 �� with a 25 �� scale length. This is a full scale performance electric guitar that happens to only weigh 4.5lbs and fit in our small carrying case.
The FireFly uses a pair of passive EMG pickups in the neck and bridge positions. These pickups produce a clear and strong tone that has an aggressive presence and a mellow voice. The hand spun custom volume and tone knobs as well as a toggle switch are positioned on the top side edge of the guitar for easy access. We have also added an on board headphone output for silent practice. The disassembling frame allows professional players to perform all over the world with the FireFly snug in it's soft carry-on case. This gem is compact and ideal for international touring as well as gigging around town.
